Dear Writer Friends, Friends & Fellow Liberians,

With the rise in the death toll, the rapid spread of the Ebola virus, and the untold hardship on our families, friends and fellow Liberians living at home, we who are in the Diaspora are at desperation about what we can do to help those in the forefront of this battle. As a Liberian poet and writer with families and friends in Liberia, I too, am wondering what I can do. This is why, as I approach my birthday, when many Facebook friends by the hundreds will remember me, I thought to ask you to stand with me and "Doctors without Borders" to support their work in Liberia. As a war survivor, I know that without Doctors without Borders, my family and I may not have survived.
