Please help us Double our iniital goal of 5,000!

On November 17th Dr. Salia, an American surgeon helping people in Sierra Leone, died from this deadly disease after being transferred to the Nebraska Medical Center.

December 2014 - Doctors Without Borders will start clinical trials of experimental Ebola treatment in West Africa.  They will need our help!

From December 2013 to November 2014 over 5,177 people have lost their lives becasue if Ebola.

The Moss Haven Elementary Beta Club is working on a special community service project focused on education about and fundraising for care related to the global Ebola health crisis.

Ebola is no longer far from us on the other side of the world or a story on the evening news. This terrible disease is present in Dallas and affecting Lake Highlands families directly.
In talking with friends and neighbors as well as absorbing the constant stream of news reports and social media commentary, it is apparent that Ebola in the U.S. and in our community directly causes fear, anxiety, stress, helplessness, anger and despair and brings up many related "what if" and "how" questions.  Upon reflection, we asked ourselves what can we do to help? How can we impact this global crisis? Can we educate others about this devastating disease to lessen the fear it brings? How can we help fight Ebola?

We believe one person can make a difference and that our collective impact will help. So, one person at a time, one school at a time, we will come together to help. We are hopeful that our efforts will educate, inspire and bring hope to a seemingly hopeless situation and praise all those doctors and nurses who are on the front lines fighting this terrible disease.
They are the true heroes!

Please Give in support of those Heroes!!
