I'll be racing the Colorado Trail Race at the end of July this year. I wanted to make my racing contribute a little something to an awesome cause: Doctors Without Borders. DWB is an independent international medical humanitarian organization that provides aid to people whose survival is threatened by violence, neglect, or catastrophe. For me, not only is the mission of helping people who are truly in need important, but I'm amazed at the people who put their normal lives/job/needs on hold to go help out in potentially dangerous places and locations, and want to help them accomplish it. The selflesness is inspiring to me and makes me want to help. I hope you feel the same way!

The Colorado Trail Race (CTR) is a 550 mile self supported back country mountain bike race across Colorado with over 70,000 feet of climbing. That's right, the equivalent of climbing Everest *3 times*. It crosses 8 mountain ranges, most above 12,000 ft topping out at 13,271 feet. Even with all the racing and adventures I've been on, it's going to be the hardest thing I've ever done. 

I'll be doing a unique fundraising for this race. I have a high goal: $10k of donations. In order to reach this high goal, I'm offering up a unique "bet against me" format for fundraising.  While my stretch goal is to race this race in under 6 days, my actual goal is just to finish. If I do not finish this race and drop out or DNF, I will MATCH all the donations out of my own pocket. 

Additionally, for every $25 donated, you can add a song to my Spotify "Colorado Trail Race" Playlist. I will listen to this music in the darkest moments of my race, so you can choose to inspire me, or throw me some rick rolls to make me suffer even more. Your choice!
