Dear Friends,

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page, and joining Koda and I in support of the lifesaving mission of Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF)!

We will embark on a journey from the US to Panama - on a bicycle.  To be honest, I was planning a trip like this before the thought of raising money for a charity occurred to me.  But, eventually I realized that this is a great opportunity to turn our adventure into a means to do some good in the world.  So with that, Koda and I have decided to turn our international bike ride into a fundraiser.  

Why Doctors Without Borders?  MSF is an independent international medical humanitarian organization that provides aid to the people who need it most in some 60 countries.  They provide care to people whose survival is threatened by violence, neglect, or catastrophe, primarily due to armed conflict, epidemics, malnutrition, exclusion from health care, or natural disasters.  I am also inspired by the amazing men and women who sacrifice family life, high-paying salaries, and safety to share their expertise in support of this cause.  Lastly, MSF is a well-run organization with very low administrative costs.  It is good to know that 89.6% of donations go directly to program services.
