For my birthday this year, I'm raising funds to support Doctors Without Borders response to emergencies around the world. Your donation will be put to work immediately to deliver urgent medical care such as treatment for acute malnutrition, emergency surgery, maternal care, and lifesaving vaccinations.
Examples of the impact your donation can make:

$20 = 90 emergency food rations for use in a crisis or natural disaster

$50 = 227 polio vaccines for communities in need

$100 = 7 kangaroo wraps for new mothers to maintain skin-to-skin contact with their new-born

$200 = treatments to cure 5 patients of Tuberculosis
Doctors Without Borders is an independent international organization that offers medical humanitarian assistance to people based solely on need, irrespective of race, religion, gender, or political affiliation. MSF's core values of humanitarianism, independence, neutrality, and impartiality continue to drive their work in providing life-saving aid to people whose survival is threatened by violence, neglect, or catastrophe, primarily due to armed conflict, epidemics, malnutrition, exclusion from health care, or natural disasters.
Doctors Without Borders is active in Gaza, Ukraine, and other sites of conflict where care is urgently needed - and providing this care is dangerous. Last year saw the most fatal attacks on healthcare workers since Safeguarding Health in Conflict Coalition began reporting figures, with a doubling from 2022 to 2023.
